Good Morning friends and family,
I pray everyone is having a wonderful holiday season so far! So, those who actually read my blog may wonder what I have been up to recently! Well, I went on a few mini vacations after the season. Rested, reflected, and revisited my goals. I have been training well and trying to focus without being overwhelmed.
This is the time of year I love the best. You are around friends and family. There is lots of eating and relaxing and partying even for some. To me, this time of year is the time in which my dedication and love for what I do is really seen. OH how easy it is to fall by the wayside when there is so much temptation to stray from eating, sleeping, and training routine. I find this the time when I buckle down the best, put in the most to my preparation, and slip in some fun as well. In college winter break was the time of year coaches dreaded the most. When students go home and they are out of routine, you never know what they will do, or how they will prioritize training in their day. Well, since those days in college, I listened to the emphasis my coaches put on winter workouts, and I have always tried to narrow my focus during this time.
With all that said, I figured, what way to better narrow my focus than to ....... GO TO BAHAMAS! No seriously. Although the Bahamas is paradise, I will be focused, around like minded athletes and the weather is unbeatable! Today is my second day here, and already I am pleased and excited for progress I know I will see, and the joy I will experience training in such a beautiful country!
Well friends and family, expect to be hearing more from me more often.
