Sunday Morning - 5:50 am. Getting up before the sun is no fun. As I sit in the Kansas City airport, awaiting my flight I figured I would drop a line. Well, Kansas Relays has come and gone. It was an interesting ride. I enjoyed my time here. This meet was a true test for me. New environment, different circumstances, everything. I did a little growing up here in Kansas. My jumps were not spectacular, but I achieved a few mental things in my head. Keeping the focus is still a priority and this was my test. How does one create stimulation, when it is not immediate? How does one block out overwhelming thoughts. How does one cope being alone for the first time at a meet. I got help in various places, and it is deeply appreciated. Being outside my comfort zone is a feeling I need to get used to and embrace. Kansas was my test. My mind was pushed to the limit more than my body this go round. I will take that, channel it, and come back better.
I am on a mission. 6.59 meters - I will take it, but believe I'm saving the best for last.
Keep Cheering for me! Now its nap time.
