I first want to apologize for being gone so long. Please forgive me. Sometimes when it comes to track and field, I have a one track mind. But with that said, I am inviting all of you once again to join me on my track journey once again!
Some of you know that track is more than every four years at the Olympics. Some of you do not.
For those who do not join me for a bit of a track lesson.
Every odd year between olympics there is a world championship. Basically this is just like the olympics, minus the world wide publicity and other sports competitions.
So the selection process was the same as last year, and the top three at USA's who have the A standard get to go! This year, I got 3rd again. Where as I am pleased and blessed that I have an opportunity to represent the USA again, I hoped for a better placing at nationals. But I like to say, I'm saving it for the big stage, USA's first return to the Berlin stadium since the olympics were held there in 1936.
So, as I speak, or write rather, I am in my room in Lignano, Italy. This city is beautiful. And my mom will bear witness to the fact that every time I go somewhere new, I promise I'm moving there!! I feel so much peace here! Tomorrow evening what I need to feel is a whole bunch of spring in my step.
So now that I've given you and "eyeful" I will now lay my head down to sleep. Goodnight all!!
