Good Morning Friends and Family!
Today I just want to write about a power we all possess, and that I have learned to use in my favor more and more.
My morning started a bit rocky due to a restless sleep the night before. I had a lot on my mind and my thoughts would not quiet. When I finally shut my eyes I had but a few hours of sleep. Of course when the alarm went off, I pressed the snooze button! I woke up in a panic, it was 9:30am and practice is at 10:00am. Quickly I had to negotiate which of my morning routines would sacrifice. So breakfast was fruit only and a quick stop to get a bottle of water. As I rounded the corner, I saw my tram.... Pull away! Oh no. I mis-calculated! So the next one doesn't come for 10 min. So now I must wait, and its cold today. I of course get a bit frazzled, I don't like being late and I am not pleased with the weather. At this time I'm wishing I had gone to breakfast because it appeared I would be late anyway (I had no protein this morning, which I like before practice). Well all things considered, I decided to take my morning, rushed and frenzied as it was, and make it a strength. I told myself no excuses. I put on a smile, wrapped my head around executing my sprints effectively. And what do you know, I had an excellent practice. Basically I showed myself that my mind, and my attitude are powerful and can turn any situation that appears to have started on the wrong foot, to a situation that ends with success.
Basically, I am learning to be strong and a competitor! There is nothing like some good 'ole personal growth!
Until next time!
