Bouncing Back - Maintaining my vision

Hello Friends and Family,
First I would like to say thank you for all of the encouragement and support
when I truly felt low. I needed more than a minute to put myself back
together. In this last week I have been in Italy, recovering my confidence
and evaluating everything. My eyes are dry, my smile is back and I still
love what I do.

At the end of the day it is not a question of whether Funmi Jimoh is capable
of excellence on the field, and off for that matter. The only answer is yes,
absolutely, without a doubt. I am seeing more and more how much a fighter I
can be. I don't like to lose, and I don't want to be average by any means.
When I want something I go and get it.

So......I am narrowing my focus and changing my goals. This is a process,
and I am still on the right track. I truly cannot wait to get back on the
field.Tonight I will have that opportunity and I know the important thing
for me to do is, relax, and do what I know how to do, and that is jump!

Fall down seven times, stand up eight!! Here we go!!!

Yes. Im Down, but not out.

Family and friends,

Yes. It hurts. My heart hurts tremendously. I've dedicated a year to this moment. And in that moment I failed.

Nothings harder than refocusing and fighting the fight again.
I hate to lose. I am at my lowest in this moment. But I know this is not it.

I am a good jumper. Today It just didn't materialize. Its hard to believe that when my performance was so weak. I wish today were different.

Twas the night before worlds.........

Good evening friends,

I'm just about to lay down and rest before tomorrows qualification round of the long jump at the world championships in Berlin.

I am excited and anxious and ready! I feel that great. Watch me on tv, and cheer from the crowds!

Weitsprung In Deutschland

Hello Friends, I know I have been gone for a while. Some of you saw The Stockholm meet on t.v. That was a decent meet. The weather wasn't great in my opinion, but I still had fun. Ive been back in Germany training. Things are going well here. I am just trying to keep focused and get everything tuned up well. I am very anxious to compete!!! 15 days until my prelim! Thank you everyone for cheering for me thus far, the fight isn't over! I will get back to you all soon concerning my progress in training.
