Hello all!
So, I am pleased at the moment! Never satisfied though! I had a solid performance at Mt. Sac this weekend. I forgot how cool it is out there in Walnut, CA. First of all, California is absolutely beautiful! I need to make it out there more often! It was perfect track weather! I won the Long Jump with a 6.81m jump. I feel it coming guys, 7m is just around the corner! That was my goal this weekend, but it appears it will have to wait until Senegal! 7m thoughts everyone!
Well, on to the crux of this blog. I remember when I used to fear the clap! I wanted no part of it! A clap means you're paying attention to me. The clap means I have to impress. The clap used to be my enemy! Well, I no longer fear the clap. I want you to pay attention. I want to impress! The clap is certainly my friend! I know some spectators are hesitant to initiate the clap. Some even feel a little ashamed because they have no rhythm! But by all means let me quell your fears. In my situation any kind of clap is appreciated. Any kind of applause is desired. The beat of the crowd behind me has magical power to lift me up and push me to excellence! Let's think of this as an interactive competition, you give me a beat, I. Will give you a beautiful leap! Deal?
In Mt. Sac and in Oregon, I get the best claps. So, thank you all who have lifted me up while on the run way. Those jumps are our jumps! Cooperation remember. Well that is all that is on my mind at the moment!
Until Next Time!
